Doctoral Students to ALISE Grant
Grant: The ALISE Board of Directors seeks nominations from institutional members for the Doctoral Students to ALISE Grant. The grant supports the attendance of one or more promising LIS doctoral students at the ALISE Annual Conference, which will be held in Seattle, WA on January 22-25, 2013. Through undertaking conference assignments and participating fully in conference programs, the winner will gain an understanding of how ALISE serves its members. One or two grants will be given.

The nominating school of the award recipient is asked to help their student with transportation costs.
Additional Doctoral Student to ALISE Grant Winner Slots Added for 2013 ALISE Annual Conference.
Through a generous donation from John Bertot, University of Maryland, ALISE will be adding two additional winner slots for the 2013 Doctoral Student to ALISE Grant. These extra winners will receive $150 towards annual conference expenses and a complimentary 2013 conference registration.
All applicants who submit an application for the 2013 award will be considered for both the regular award and these two extra awards. If you would like to apply, please follow the directions listed below. Applications: The dean/director/program chair of a member school may nominate one doctoral student by completing the nomination form. The nominee must submit a statement on an issue relating to the theme of the 2013 ALISE conference “Always the Beautiful Question: Inquiry Supporting Teaching, Research, and Professional Practice” The document must be double spaced, word processed, and must not exceed 250 words. Submissions must be titled and display the author’s name. Nominees must e-mail both the nomination form and statement to Ewanya Clark at contact@alise.org by September 14, 2012.

The Doctoral Students to ALISE will commit to 10 hours of ALISE activities which may include:
