Institutional Members
Institutional Membership status shall be granted to any school that offers a degree in library and information science, or cognate field and which is accredited by the appropriate authority. On matters requiring an institutional vote, each Institutional Member is entitled to one vote.
Institutional Membership does not include a complimentary personal membership to ALISE. To receive special personal member benefits and discounts (such as annual conference member pricing) one must be a personal member of ALISE.
2012 Institutional Member List
International Affiliate Institutional Membership status shall be granted upon request to any school outside the United States or Canada that offers a program to educate persons for the practice of library and information science at the professional level as defined or accepted in the country in which the school is located.
2012 International Affiliates List
Associated Institutional Members status shall be granted to libraries and organizations other than schools of library and information science.

- On matters requiring an Institutional vote, each Institutional member is entitled to one vote. Institutional (does not include International Affiliate Institutional Membership and Associate Institutional Membership) votes are distinct from Personal membership votes.

- Formal and informal placement services at ALISE conferences, including virtual access to portal, job candidates, resumes, interview space (gratis up to 6 hours), and informal networking to meet the job candidates.
- Nominate your faculty for ALISE Awards for teaching excellence, professional contribution, service, and faculty innovation.
- Have your school's interests and concerns represented through our affiliation with the American Library Association, American Society for Information Science, Medical Library Association, and Special Libraries Association among others nationally, and as an association member of the International Federation of Library Associations.
- Membership in the Council of Program Chairs, Deans, and Directors which provides the forum to discuss issues, make reports and recommendations, and share information which is critical to the entire community.
*International Affiliates and Associate Institutional Members do not receive the free copy of the Statistical Report.
