Call for ALISE Board Nominations

The Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) announces the call for nominations for two positions on the Board of Directors:
President-Elect
- 3 year term (one-year at each stage of presidential progression)
- Leads the Board of Directors and guides the strategy of the association.
Director, Membership
- 3 year term
- Oversees member recruitment, onboarding, and outreach to lapsed members.
The deadline to submit nominations is January 17, 2025.

Each position has defined responsibilities and liaises with specific committees. Review the Bylaws and the ALISE Procedures & Policies Manual for details on each position; in particular, see Appendix A ALISE Board of Directors Qualifications, Responsibilities, and Expectations: A Practical Guide in the PPM. When submitting a nomination, ensure you/the nominee are/is committed to fulfilling all aspects of the role for the full term. The terms commence in October 2025 after the Annual Business Meeting.

When submitting a nomination, the nominees must provide a statement on their vision for ALISE (500 words or less), a brief professional biography (500 words or less), and a headshot. If selected for the slate, these items will be shared with the membership.
