Presenter Bios

Denice Adkins is an associate professor at the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies, University of Missouri, and co-editor of Journal of Education for Library & Information Science. She has been a Fulbright Scholar to Honduras, president of REFORMA (The National Association to Promote Library & Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking), secretary-treasurer of Association for Library and Information Science Education, and councilor-at-large for the American Library Association. Her research interests include public libraries, services to the Latinx community, and services for diverse library users.

John M. Budd is Professor Emeritus at the University of Missouri. He has also been a faculty member at Louisiana State University and the University of Arizona. Throughout his career he has published nearly 150 items, including books, book chapters, and journal articles.

 

Presentation Description: 

Presented by the editors of the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, this webinar will offer the audience advice on how to structure their ideas into works ready for publication. This includes developing ideas into researchable topics, selecting methodologies appropriate to the idea, collecting data and/or information, analyzing the data/information, reporting findings, and drawing conclusions from the analysis.
