Job Duties

The candidate selected for this position will be expected to teach, serve as coordinator of the internship program, and make a significant contribution to the department’s ALA accreditation initiative. Student advisement, scholarly activities, service on department and university committees and participation in activities that advance the department’s mission are also required of the position.

Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills

Required Qualifications: 
MLS or MIS
Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Library and Information Science or related area
Experience in teaching graduate students
Evidence of scholarly research activities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as coordinator of an internship program
Knowledge and experience in Information Science and Technology
Knowledge and experience in ALA accreditation process
