Teaching Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor Department/CollegeDept. of Interdisciplinary Programs, Library Science Program DatesOpening Date: 03/29/2022 Job DescriptionThe Master of Library Science program at East Carolina University has an opening for a full-time, fixed term Teaching Instructor/Teaching Assistant Professor/Teaching Associate Professor for the 2022-23 academic year with a beginning date in August 2022. This position is for an initial one-year term with annual reviews and possible reappointments. Job DutiesThis individual will teach four Library Science courses each term in a fully online format, and serve in an additional, value-added capacity to the department through recruitment and retention initiatives, advising, curriculum development and improvement, and accreditation/assessment efforts.
Regular in-person presence on campus to contribute to the needs of the program, department, college, and university will be required. Must engage/interact with online students at least weekly.
Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/SkillsRequires a Master in Library Science and experience teaching courses online and/or at the graduate level. Qualifying degrees must be conferred and received from appropriately accredited institutions. Candidates with a doctoral degree, school library licensure, and/or public library certification are preferred.
