The tiered dues structure provides a more equitable fee structure for individuals located in countries with GNI per capita at or below $24,999.00 USD. In addition, the structure provides greater opportunity for information professionals outside of North America to engage in the association through reduced rates for those in Tier 2 or Tier 3 countries. The dues structure aligns with objectives and strategies in ALISE's 2021-2025 Strategic Plan to increase international membership (Strategy 2.2.6) and to make ALISE welcoming and inclusive of people and program from countries outside of the U.S. and Canada (Objective 2.5). The tiered dues structure is a single, albeit significant, step to enable a more global presence and engagement within ALISE.
