Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track)- AI & Security Studies Department/CollegeSchool of Information DatesOpening Date: 09/19/2024 Job DescriptionThe School of Information at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning, Assistant Professor position with a start date of August 7, 2025. Salary is negotiable. Position is open until filled, with initial review of applications beginning on November 1, 2024. Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/SkillsMinimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Information Science or a closely related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, etc.) is required. Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date. Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on the socio-technical aspects of Data Science/Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber/National Security, and who have some university-level teaching experience and a clearly articulated research agenda.
