- Update the Conference Planning Manual for the guidance of future committees as needed
- Debrief the Conference Program Planning Co-chairs for the following year

ALISE Academy Committee
Terms of Reference:
Minimum Expectations:
- Plan the ALISE Academy program for the annual conference, including programs for faculty at various career stages
- Make recommendations for themes for Academy programs in future years
- Document procedures for use by future chairs

ALISE Jean Tague-Sutcliffe Doctoral Student Poster Competition Committee
Terms of Reference:
Minimum Expectations:

Coordinate planning for the doctoral poster competition, including recruitment of participants

Coordinate judging process for the Doctoral Student Poster Competition

Review and document competition judging procedures for guidance of future chairs

Additional ALISE faculty members, recruited by the ALISE/Jean Tague Sutcliffe Doctoral Student Poster Competition Committee Co-chairs, for a one-year commitment as poster judges. These committee members must reflect the diversity of research interests in LIS and be present at the annual conference.
Works in Progress Poster Session
Terms of Reference:

Receive and organize the submissions for the Works in Progress Poster Session.

Confirm participation to those submitting posters

Prepare the brochure for the conference

Prepare a web version of the brochure

- Coordinate activities
- Review and document competition judging procedures for guidance of future chairs

Conference Juried Papers
Terms of Reference:
Minimum Expectations:
- Select, through a blind referee process, juried papers supporting the conference theme
- Develop procedures to provide authors feedback in addition to the acceptance decision
- Document procedures for use by future chairs

Conference Panel Proposals (Juried & SIGs)
Terms of Reference:
Minimum Expectation:
- Select, through a blind referee process, juried papers supporting the conference theme
- Coordinate guaranteed SIG sessions with the Director, Community Building; consider additional SIG sessions within the juried panel sessions/tracks
- Develop procedures to provide authors feedback in addition to the acceptance decision
- Document procedures for use by future chairs

Conference Proceedings
Terms of Reference:

Produce the annual conference proceedings, which includes communications with all conference presenters, including poster presenters.

Collaborate with the Conference Planning Committee and ALISE staff.
- Collaborate with IDEALS to produce the digital proceedings by the established deadlines.
Minimum Expectation:
- Produce the ALISE Annual Conference proceedings.
- Dexterity and familiarity with abstract management systems and other software programs to assemble and publish the proceedings.
- Develop and/or recommend revisions to procedures for presenters/authors to submit camera-ready submissions.
- Document and/or recommend revisions to procedures for use by future chairs.
