Lecturer Department/CollegeDepartment of Library and Information Science DatesOpening Date: 01/26/2024 Job DescriptionThe Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering– Indianapolis invites applications for one full-time lecturer-track faculty position in the Department of Library and Information Science. The appointment will begin August 1, 2024 at the Indiana University Indianapolis campus. This appointment is annually renewable, based upon satisfactory performance. This is a 10-month appointment, with opportunity to teach in the summer months as well. A committed educator is sought to join our department.
Candidates must demonstrate effective teaching in an online environment and several years of professional (industry) experience in the area of expertise, a deep understanding of career opportunities in the information professions, and a passion for graduate student mentoring and success. Ideal candidates will also shape their teaching in ways that leverage the unique strengths of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering and the IUI campus, including its interdisciplinary and collaborative environment and commitment to service and community engagement.
