The available faculty positions are in the areas of Data Science, Information Science and Library Science.. Job DutiesAssistant/Associate Professor in Library Science (Posting # F359P) - Candidates for this position will demonstrate an interest in Library Science in areas that include, but are not limited to, Law Librarianship, Academic Libraries, Special Libraries and Library Management. The candidate is expected to coordinate students’ practicum experiences and develop close relationships with practitioners and educators in Library & Information Studies. Assistant/Associate Professor in Information Science (Posting # F358P) - Candidates for this position will demonstrate an interest in Information Science in areas that include, but are not limited to, Archival Studies and Management, Information Architecture and User Experience, Knowledge Management, and Information Systems. Candidates will be expected to coordinate students’ practicum/internship experiences and develop close relationships with practitioners and educators in Information Science areas. Assistant/Associate Professor in Data Science (Posting # F365P) - Candidates for this position will demonstrate evidence of effective teaching, research, and scholarship with experience/expertise in the broad areas of Data Science and Information Science. The candidate will teach, conduct research, and provide service in an academic position with emphasis on Data Science. Candidates must demonstrate a record of research accomplishments. Candidates for all positions will be expected to show evidence of or develop a record of scholarly research necessary to earn tenure. Candidates must demonstrate ability to design and deliver courses in a variety of formats, including online and hybrid modalities, and is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Candidates should also be willing to work closely with doctoral students and serve on dissertation committees. Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/SkillsCandidates are expected to have earned a doctorate in a related field at the time of appointment. Candidates applying to the Assistant/Associate Professor position in Library Science must also have a master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program.
