Candidate for Director of External Relations

C. Sean Burns
Associate Professor
University of Kentucky

Candidate's Statement:
I am grateful for the possibility to serve ALISE as Director of External Relations. I have been fortunate to attend most of the annual ALISE conferences since 2010 and to have participated as a member or chair on a number of committees and as co-convener on the Historical Perspectives SIG. In these last ten years of membership, I have benefited from meeting many giving and wonderful people from the programs, agencies, and libraries spread across Canada and the United States. I believe it is this network of people that is the source of ALISE’s strength, and I would be delighted to continue to support and strengthen that network as part of my primary duty as Director of External Relations.
