Do Presenters Need to Register?

Authors whose proposals/papers/posters/panels are accepted for the annual conference are required to register for, attend, and present the work at the ALISE Annual Conference. Failure to do so will result in removal of the papers/posters/panels from the conference schedule, the program, and the proceedings. How Do I Access a Sample Justification Letter For This Conference?

Do you need to seek approval from your leadership to attend the ALISE 2024 Conference?  To assist you in justifying your attendance to supervisors or other decision makers, we have developed a customizable letter list with pertinent reasons for attending the conference. Can Presenters Update Their Profiles in The Mobile App?

The official mobile app for this year’s conference is Sched. Each speaker has been preloaded into the platform and should have received an invite to customize your profile. If you have any questions or need assistance with Sched, please contact [email protected].

When Do I Need to Submit My Camera-Ready Submission For The ALISE Conference Proceedings?

All speakers and poster presenters are required to submit their Camera-Ready Submission into the ALISE Conference Proceedings.

The copyright of any submission rests with the author(s). As a condition of acceptance, the authors AGREE to release their copyright under a shared license, specifically the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. See https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.  Failure to comply with the proceedings deadlines or to present at the ALISE annual conference will result in removal of the submission from the ALISE Conference Proceedings.

What Are The Poster Guidelines?

As you create your poster for either WIP or Doctoral, please be aware of the available display dimensions.  We recommend nothing smaller than 24’’ x 24’’. To promote a fair contest, we will enforce a maximum poster size of 42’’ x 42’’.  You will share a poster board with another presenter so please be respectful of space.

What are The Session Formats?

  • Juried Papers:
    Juried Paper breakout sessions will consist of three 20-minute juried paper presentations with 20-30 minutes at the end for synchronous Q&A for all three presentations (total session time is 90 minutes). 
  • Juried Panels/SIGs:
    Juried Panel and SIG breakout sessions will consist of one 60-minute presentation with 20-30 minutes at the end for Q&A (total session time is 90 minutes). 
  • Poster Sessions:
    Poster presenters will be required to attend the full poster session/reception.

Conference Fee Waiver Policy
All participants in any events of an ALISE Annual Conference must pay the appropriate registration fees.

Photo and Video Release
Registration, attendance at, or participation in, ALISE meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in recordings, both live and on-demand, photographs, video, electronic reproductions, and audio of such events and activities by ALISE. ALISE has the right to record content delivered at its annual conference and to utilize the recordings in future content, programs, or materials. Attendee’s registration may include technology that monitors their activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance and exhibit booths visited.

Presentation at the Annual Conference
Authors whose proposals/papers/posters/panels are accepted for the annual conference are required to register for (fees apply), attend, and present the work at the ALISE annual conference. Failure to do so will result in removal of the papers/posters/panels from the conference schedule, the program, and the proceedings. Should the event be converted to a virtual conference, the same policy applies.
